About Us

Connor Silviger -

I'm a senior here at UMBC. I study Computer Science and work in a research lab where I focus on

computational linguistics.

For this project I collated the datasets to make a master

dataset, fine tuned the model for text classification

focusing on bias and implemented it within the discord

bot.

I had a great time, thank you to the event organizers, worked and sponsors for job well done.

Cole Na -

I am a senior computer science major at UMBC.

I worked on the misinformation scoring system and

tying the all of the base modules together into a

cohesive executable. I also worked on the X bot and

managed the GitHub.

Jeffrey Collins -

A senior computer science major at UMBC and this is

my 3rd Hackathon UMBC.

I worked on text extraction from articles/.txt.

Jacob Fruchey -

I'm a sophomore computer science major here at

UMBC and this is the first Hackathon I have entered!

I Contributed to creating the Google API, the

implementation of the fact checker, and the website

development.
